The Prince of Tennis Rallies Special 20th Anniversary Event in Japan This Fall

The Prince of Tennis has officially been on the anime court for nearly 20 years! Can you believe it’s been almost two decades since “A Prince Appears” first aired in Japan?

To commemorate the milestone, the “Tenipuri 20th Anniversary Event -Future-” will be held in Japan on October 10, exactly 20 years after the broadcast of the anime’s first episode. The event promises news and updates on the series, including the upcoming anime sequel, OVAs and movie!

The event will include voice talent from The Prince of Tennis, including Ryoma Echizen himself, Junko Minagawa. The event announcement also revealed the special logo designed for the anniversary year, showcasing a unique color for each of the 10 schools from the series.

And if you’re looking to watch some of The Prince of Tennis yourself, you’re in luck. The series’ official YouTube channel will host nightly livestreams of episodes of the anime.

Funimation recently announced that The Prince of Tennis series would be coming to its streaming service, starting with the latest OVAs, The Prince of Tennis II Hyotei vs. Rikkai Game of Future Parts 1 and 2. You can check them out right now.
