Get your survival gear ready, because MADHOUSE’s Sonny Boy has unveiled some news! The official website of director Shingo Natsume (One-Punch Man, Space Dandy) has just announced the debut date and cast for Sonny Boy.
The original anime from MADHOUSE is a science-fiction survival tale officially set to premiere on Thursday, July 15 in Japan, and brings together an incredible staff including Natsume and Perfect Blue character designer Hisashi Eguchi.

The main cast has also been announced, including Aoi Ichikawa (DARLING in the FRANXX, Fruits Basket) as Nagara; Saori Onishi (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Haikyu!!) as Nozomi; Aoi Yuki (Fire Force, My Hero Academia) as Mizuho; and Chiaki Kobayashi (Moriarty the Patriot, SK8 the Infinity) as Asakaze.
Sonny Boy is a sci-fi survival series with a stacked 36-student cast of characters. Uprooted from their middle school lives, these students end up in another dimension and have to fight to survive.

Funimation recently announced that it will simulcast the series.
