My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission Jams Out With Theme by Asian Kung-Fu Generation

It’s only been a couple of days since we learned of Kazuya Nakai’s casting in the upcoming film, but there’s already another exciting update on My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission!

A new trailer for the upcoming film was released on TOHO’s official YouTube Channel, showing new footage and giving us our first listen of the film’s theme song, “Empathy” by J-Rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation.

Asian Kung-Fu Generation are veterans of anime theme songs and particularly shounen ones, having performed for Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, and four times for Naruto.

Like My Hero Academia‘s previous two feature films, author Kohei Horikoshi is playing a key role in the creation of My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission, contributing slick new character designs and more.

It was recently announced that the first 1,000,000 film attendees in Japan would receive an exclusive booklet, including cover art and a short manga by Horikoshi along with other bonus content.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission is scheduled to release in Japanese theaters on August 6.
