Get ready to be a part of the perfect Pokémon team. The arena-based game Pokémon Unite is officially coming to Nintendo Switch and mobile devices later this year.
The official Twitter account for Pokémon Unite revealed the news Thursday morning, confirming that the highly anticipated game will release on Nintendo Switch in July and in September on iOS and Android.
It also revealed the latest gameplay trailer for Pokémon Unite, showcasing the franchise’s foray into team-based arena battling (think League of Legends but with pocket monsters!).
The game has trainers on a team of five take on their opponents in arenas, each with five goals. You’ll catch Pokémon and score points, leveling up and learning new attacks as you go, all while evolving your chosen Pokémon.
You’ll also have access to a special Unite move for each Pokémon, and the team that score the most points during the game wins!
