Shingo Natsume’s Sonny Boy Debuts New Trailer and Key Visual Ahead of Summer Premiere

The hype for Shingo Natsume’s Sonny Boy is heating up, and the series just dropped a brand-new PV and key visual ahead of its July premiere in Japan.

First up is the latest trailer for the sci-fi survival series, which boasts an impressive roster of talent, from a crew including director Natsume (One-Punch Man Season 1), studio MADHOUSE (Death Note) and character designer Hisashi Eguchi (Perfect Blue) to a group of musicians from around the world overseen by the legendary Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop). 

The PV gives us a closer look at what to expect when the series kicks off this summer. It will stream on Funimation as it airs in Japan.

Then there’s the newest key visual for Sonny Boy, which depicts a portion of the show’s ensemble cast hanging out together. Ominous. And of course, multiple cats are in sight.

Sonny Boy begins its broadcast in Japan on July 15, and the voice cast includes Aoi Ichikawa (DARLING in the FRANXX, Fruits Basket) as Nagara; Saori Onishi (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Haikyu!!) as Nozomi; Aoi Yuki (Fire Force, My Hero Academia) as Mizuho; and Chiaki Kobayashi (Moriarty the Patriot, SK8 the Infinity) as Asakaze.
