Playable Demo for NEO: The World Ends with You Hits PS4, Nintendo Switch This Friday

A demo for NEO: The World Ends with You will officially arrive on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch this Friday, June 25!

Square Enix confirmed that players will be able to experience the first two days within the game, as they assume the role of Rindo and his group called the Wicked Twisters. Progress made in the demo will carry over to the full game when it launches on July 27.

A final trailer for the game was also released, which showcases types of Noise players will face in the upcoming sequel.

Players will be able to control up to three party members simultaneously in the demo, and your members will perform different Psych attacks based on what pins they’re equipped with. Pins can also evolve into powerful new ones as your party levels up.

Some example pins include:

  • Rapid-Tap: Where you repeatedly press buttons to dish out attacks
  • Charge: Holding down an assigned button and then releasing it to unleash an attack. The longer you hold down the button, the stronger the attack is!
  • Hold: Continuously holding down a button will prolong an attack, but you must watch the pin’s gauge so it doesn’t deplete.

In the demo, only the standard difficulty will be available. However, if you want an extra challenge, you can go ahead and lower your party’s level temporarily. This will cause your party’s HP to decrease, but you’ll be rewarded as the item drop rate will increase in return!
