After a tense countdown, the official Pony Canyon YouTube channel released the first trailer for the anime adaptation of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata’s supernatural shounen manga Platinum End, giving us our first look at Mirai’s deadly pursuit of happiness!
A second key visual was also released, depicting Mirai and one of his 12 opponents in the battle to become the next god of the world.
Platinum End will begin broadcasting in October and is billed as a complete adaptation of the manga with 24 episodes.
Miyu Irino (Black Clover) voices protagonist Mirai Kakehashi, with Yui Ogura (GOBLIN SLAYER) as his angel assistant, Nasse.
The exciting cast list continues with M.A.O (Fire Force), Natsuki Hanae (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba), Kaito Ishikawa (One-Punch Man), Toshiyuki Morikawa (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation), Tomoaki Maeno (Cells at Work!), Kikuko Inoue (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood), Hikaru Midorikawa (SK8 the Infinity), and Ai Kayano (Otherside Picnic).

Hideya Takahashi (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) is set to direct the adaptation at studio Signal.MD, with Shinichi Inotsume (PERSONA5 the Animation) on series composition and Koji Odate (No Game No Life) on character design.
First serialized in 2015, Platinum End will be the third manga adapted into anime for the iconic Ohba-Obata duo, joining two of Shonen Jump‘s biggest hits: Bakuman. and Death Note. Obata is also celebrated for his work on Hikaru no Go and All You Need Is Kill.
