This new season follows the events of the Puella Magi Madoka Magica spin-off series, which first debuted in 2020. The Magia Record anime series is based on the game of the same name from Aniplex.

From studio SHAFT (Bakemonogatari, Nisekoi), Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story Season 2 -The Eve of Awakening- begins its simulcast later this month on Funimation in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Peru.
