Based on the acclaimed novel by Priest (author of the original novel for the Word of Honor drama series), we’re excited to announce that The Defective is joining the Summer 2021 lineup on Funimation!
The Defective (Can Ci Pin: Fangzhu Xingkong) is the latest donghua (Chinese animation) to join the ever-expanding Funimation catalog, along with the recent additions of Heaven Official’s Blessing and LINK CLICK. The sci-fi action series kicks off at the end of July with two episodes at once!
The series follows Lu Bixing and Lin Jingheng, two very different men caught up in a futuristic dystopia where mind-link tech known as Eden controls society.
One out of every hundred people can’t interface with Eden and are deemed “defective” as outcasts. These two will work together to fight against this unjust world.
From bilibili and LX Animation Studio, The Defective begins its simulcast on July 29 with the first two episodes!
