For fans who’ve been waiting for a live-action Pokémon television series, your calls may be getting answered! Variety reports that Netflix is in early development on a live-action Pokémon series from Lucifer show-runner Joe Henderson.
There are no confirmed details for the series at time of publication, but it was speculated that the series would be similar to the franchise’s first live-action outing, Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, which hit theaters in 2019 and starred Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith.

The film combined real-life actors with adorable CGI Pokémon, and it was a hit at the box office, grossing over $433 million worldwide.
Netflix is no stranger to the Pokémon series these days, with several seasons of the show available on its service. Netflix is also currently working on live-action adaptations of Cowboy Bebop and One Piece.
