Shin Megami Tensei V Screenshot Release Date Reveal

ATLUS has revealed a brand-new story trailer for the highly anticipated Shin Megami Tensei V game, the latest in the long-running RPG series. The trailer focuses on an entity named Bethel, who aims to launch a full-scale attack on post-apocalyptic Tokyo.

Things kick off with the game’s protagonist stumbling across a murder scene on his way home. After taking an alternate route, he awakes in a ruined version of Tokyo called Da’at and fuses with a mysterious man named Aogami to become Nahobino.

Like in previous Shin Megami Tensei games, the protagonist will travel the land, slaying demons and making decisions to push him toward the light…or further into darkness.

Additional characters are shown in the trailer, including a girl with a backpack who follows the protagonist around, and a classmate who has similar abilities. There’s also a character that looks similar to Raidou Kuzunoha from Devil Summoner. We don’t know for sure that it’s the same person, but they seem to have the same voice actor as Raidou from Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster.
