The next Funimation co-production officially has a release window! We’re excited to announce that She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man will officially be part of the Winter 2022 anime season lineup beginning this January!
The broadcast window was confirmed during a special teaser trailer delivered to us by our partners at KADOKAWA, which offers us a closer look at what to expect when the fantasy isekai series arrives early next year.
From the director of DATE A LIVE and the producer who brought you hits like Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! and BOFURI, She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man is a comedic and adventurous take on the isekai genre, following a young man who is trapped in the body of a young girl while playing as his famous avatar, Danblf, in the popular game, Arch Earth Online.

And in trying to set his story straight, he must convince the people of the game world that his new form is the pupil of Danblf, the wise man who vanished without a trace…
The anime is adapted from a light novel series of the same name by Choko Fuji and Ryuusen Hirotsugu. The series arrives from Studio A-CAT in January 2022, right here on Funimation.
