Horse-Racing Anime Gunjō no Fanfare Hits the Track in Spring 2022

Hold your horses, ’cause we’ve got some news straight from the horse’s mouth about an intriguing new original anime debuting next spring.

In the newly announced Gunjō no Fanfare (Fanfare of Adolescence), three 15-year-old boys—one from a rich family in England, one a former idol group member, and the other raised on a faraway island—all enrol in a horse racing academy to become professional jockeys.

Next out the gate is the cast, which includes Shougo Yano (Pretty Boy Detective Club) as Yū Arimura, Natsuki Hanae (The Case Study of Vanitas) as Amane Grace, and Shinba Tsuchiya (Backflip!!) as Shun Kanami.

Three teaser visuals were unveiled, giving us our first look at the main trio:

Makoto Katō (Lord El-Melloi II’s Case Files {Rail Zeppelin} Grace note) is directing the anime at studio Lay-duce, with Hiro Kanzaki (Eromanga Sensei) on character design and Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan) on the music.
