“We’re not friends, we’re rivals.” The reality show and idol anime formulas have been mixed together to bring you Selection Project, an upcoming series that just unveiled an October 1 premiere and an extended sneak peek in a new trailer!
The trailer also previews the bop-worthy opening theme “Glorious Days,” sung by the nine main cast members.

Like many idol anime before it, several new stars will be making their big debut in Selection Project: Ruri Arai as Nagisa Imau, Nozomi Nagumo as Hiromi Hamaguri, Saku Mizuno as Rena Hanaoi, Mizuna Shirakawa as Uta Koizumi and Hina Yomiya as Nodoka Yagi.
And a couple of fan-favorites also appear, including Hinaki Yano (Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club) as Suzune Miyama, Yuka Iwahashi (Re:Stage! Dream Days) as Ao Yodogawa, Miharu Hanai (THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS Theater) as Shiori Yamaga, Shino Shimoji (The Case Study of Vanitas) as Mako Toma, Saori Hayami (The Honor at Magic High School) as Akari Amasawa, and Daisuke Ono (Attack on Titan) as Sumipanda.
Daisuke Hiramaki (Asteroid in Love) is directing the anime at studio Doga Kobo (Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun, Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle), with character designs by Kanna Hirayama (Rent-a-Girlfriend), series composition by Yūya Takahashi (LUPIN THE 3rd PART4), and music produced by Yōhei Kisara (Love Live! School Idol Project).
