In space, no one can hear you jazz. 🎶 But we’re thankfully down here on Earth, which means we can watch the delightfully jazzy opening sequence of Cowboy Bebop‘s upcoming live-action adaptation, set to the tune of Yoko Kanno’s classic “Tank!”
From the familiar faces of friends and foes to that shot of Ein, we’re clearly in for a treat when the series debuts on Netflix on November 19 later this year.
A stellar new poster was also released, placing John Cho, Mustafa Shakir and Daniella Pineda into the glorious genre mix of space and Western that is Cowboy Bebop.

Each episode will reportedly be an hour long and a second season is already being planned, so we’ll get to see plenty more of Cowboy Bebop‘s world being expanded on by showrunners André Nemec and Jeff Pinkner.
This news comes after it was announced that Yoko Kanno, the original anime’s iconic composer, will return with original music for the live-action adaptation. Shinichiro Watanabe, Cowboy Bebop‘s creator, is also serving as a consultant on the series.
