To those who’ve been crying “News! Some news! My kingdom for some news,” your prayers have been answered! Upcoming dark historical fantasy anime Requiem of the Rose King revealed a whole army of new details, including the main and supporting cast members, additional staff and a teaser visual and promo video.

Richard, the third son of the House of York, will be played by Mitsuki Saiga (DRIFTERS), opposite Hikaru Midorikawa (SK8 the Infinity) as Henry of House Lancaster.
From the left-hand side of the new visual is Show Hayami (Ascendance of a Bookworm) as Richard of York, Satoshi Hino (Overlord) as William Catesby, Kohsuke Toriumi (Yowamushi Pedal) as Edward of York and Yasuaki Takumi (Plastic Memories) as George.
Below on the right is Sayaka Ohara (Made in Abyss) as Queen Margaret, Kohei Amasaki (HYPNOSISMIC -Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima) as Edward of Westminster and Satoshi Mikami (86 EIGHTY-SIX) as the Earl of Warwick.
And finally, the series will be narrated by Hochu Otsuka (Naruto, Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan).

Based on the manga by Aya Kanno, Requiem of the Rose King is being directed by Kentaro Suzuki (Angels of Death) at studio J.C. Staff, with Hiroki Uchida (GAMERS!) as scriptwriter, Kow Otani (Shakugan No Shana) as music composer, and Chikara Hashizume as character designer.
VIZ Media, who publishes the manga’s official English version, describes the series as:
Richard’s father, the patriarch of the House of York, is poised to become king of medieval England during the bloody Wars of the Roses. But just as success is imminent, he is abruptly cut down. Plunged into despair, Richard acts out in revenge and must face a powerful and beautiful new enemy.
