A new Pokémon form has been revealed! Following the release of this week’s found-footage-style teaser, The Pokémon Company has officially revealed a new trailer for Pokémon Legends: Arceus, featuring brand-new Hisuian forms for Zorua and Zoroark!
The trailer begins with a first-person view of someone holding a camera, walking around a snow-blanketed mountain area at 7 p.m. They comment about how the night sky filled with stars looks incredibly beautiful, and that the area has a particularly mysterious air surrounding it.
He comes across some wild Snorunt, to which he comments that they eat ice in order to survive. After traveling further, he sees another Pokémon, which he thinks is a Hisuian Growlithe, or perhaps even an Alolan Vulpix due to its white fur. However, upon further inspection, it turns out to be a Hisuian form of Zorua!
The trainer then gets attacked by a shadowy figure, presumably a Hisuian Zoroark, the evolution of Zorua. He then drops his camera as he falls to the ground and the Zorua adorably walks up to the device in curiosity to reveal itself.
Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark look different from their original counterparts, where they have white fur instead of black. Additionally, the Hisuian forms have yellow eyes rather than blue. However, they keep the red tips at the end of their tails and fur.
Another notable difference involves Hisuian Zoroark, which can be seen in full when it joins Zorua in front of the camera. The Hisuian form’s hair falls towards the front of its face, almost in a forward mohawk, while an original Zoroark’s hair falls back in a traditional ponytail.
Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark are Normal/Ghost type Pokémon, which is a notable shift in the original form’s pure Dark typing. Hopefully the trainer is OK, as he is not seen again after being attacked by Zoroark!
