As if the hype train could be stopped! The first video game for the hit shounen series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles launched earlier this month around the world, and it’s already passed an exciting milestone!

That’s right, the game has officially surpassed over a million copies sold in just over a week and a half. Those numbers combined the digital and physical sales of the game, which launched on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles drops players into the familiar world of the popular anime, with a Story Mode that takes players through the events of the series so far, from Tanjiro’s tragic origin to the Mugen Train.

The game also offers a robust multiplayer mode, where players can take each other on as their favorite Demon Slayers, villains and more.
But the train keeps on rolling! The game is also set to receive three free downloadable content packs, each with two new characters. The first of these sets will bring Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train‘s evil Akaza to the fight, as well as the iconic Spider Demon, Rui.

The release of the game follows a year of global success for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, from breaking manga records to bringing a box office phenomenon to theaters around the world.
