We watched as a group of strangers faced off in children’s games for money this year, but what if you were to exclusively go up against your friends? That’s the premise of Tomodachi Game, an upcoming thriller anime just announced for Spring 2022!
A teaser visual was released, along with main cast and staff:

At the center of it all is Chiaki Kobayashi (SK8 the Infinity) as Yuichi Katagiri, a student who finds his mind and morals tested when he’s forced to participate in a deadly contest to clear a mysterious debt.
Also participating in the “friendship game” are Satomi Amano (TAMAYOMI: The Baseball Girls) as Yutori Kokonogi, Yume Miyamoto (SSSS.GRIDMAN) as Shiho Sawaragi, Daiki Hamano (SSSS.DYNAZENON) as Tenji Misaka and Tomohiro Ono (Talentless Nana) as Makoto Shibe.
Will their friendship hold true? Or will desperation win in the end?

Behind the scenes is Hirofumi Ogura (Cells at Work!!) as director at studio Okuruto Noboru (The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter), with scripts by Kenta Ihara (Mieruko-chan), music by Michiru (given),and character designs by Satomi Miyazaki.
