Food, music, boys’ love manga—all of these are ways into a man’s heart, and we now know just the tunes that’ll be opening them up in Sasaki and Miyano!
Miracle Chimpanzee will be performing “Mabataki” for the opening theme, followed by “Ichigo Sunset” as the ending theme, performed by main cast members Yusuke Shirai and Soma Saito as the titular Sasaki and Miyano.
Shinji Ishihira (Super Lovers) and Takehiro Ueno (Kochoki episode director) are directing the anime at Studio Deen, with Yoshiko Nakamura (Super Lovers) in charge of series composition and Maki Fujii (I’ve Always Liked You) is on character design.

The main cast from the Sasaki and Miyano drama CD are reprising their roles for the anime, including:
- Yusuke Shirai (Combatants Will Be Dispatched!) as Shumei Sasaki
- Sōma Saitō (Moriarty the Patriot) as Yoshikazu Miyano
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) as Taiga Hirano
- Yūki Ono (DAKAICHI! -I’m being harassed by the sexiest man of the year-) as Jiro Ogasawara
- Yūma Uchida (given) as Masato Hanzawa
- Ryohei Arai (WorldEnd: What are you doing at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us?) as Tasuku Kurezawa
- Mitsuhiro Ichiki (A3! Season Spring & Summer) as Gonzaburo Tashiro
With veterans of the BL genre spread across the staff and cast, this won’t be one to miss when it premieres in Winter 2022!
