Ichigo and friends are back in 2022, and the official Tokyo Mew Mew New website has a new key visual to show off! The new art released today for the upcoming magical girl series gives us our first look at the five friends in their pretty waitress uniforms.

The second key visual shows us the smiling faces of Retasu Midorikawa, Minto Aizawa, Ichigo Momomiya, Purin Fong and Zakuro Fujiwara at Café Mew Mew. Their lacy pastel maid dresses are standard attire for workdays at the café. Their waitress uniforms are nearly identical to their looks in the original series, from the heart-shaped aprons to the chunky black boots.
The voice actresses behind the upcoming anime also modeled similar uniforms in real life.

The original anime adaptation of Reiko Yoshida and Mia Ikumi’s Tokyo Mew Mew manga aired in 2002. Typical middle schooler Ichigo transforms into a magical girl alongside Mew Mint, Mew Lettuce, Mew Purin and Mew Zakuro to protect the Earth. But can she keep her double life a secret from her crush Aoyama-kun?
The official website also updated its character descriptions for the five friends, including their birthdays, their special magical attacks and personality traits.
