If you’re in need of a good cry, we’ve got some news for you! The fan-favorite tearjerker, Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day , is getting a stage play adaptation in Japan in 2022.

The news was revealed via the series’official Twitter account, confirming that the stage play would arrive at the Owlspot Theater in Toshima City, with a run from February 2 to February 6. Additional details, including the play’s cast and crew, can be found on the official website .

Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day first premiered during the Spring 2011 anime season, and follows childhood friends who attempt to reconnect in high school after drifting apart following the death of one of them, Menma. Years later, the ghost of an older -looking Menma suddenly appears, asking to have a wish granted. Why? Well, you’ll have to watch and find out.
