The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Anime Serves Six Returning Cast Members

If you’re just as excited as we are about the upcoming The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup anime, then you’re going to be making a racket over the new cast members and preview screenshots just served by Jump Festa 2022!

Joining the American opposition is Hiroki Takahashi as Ralph Rhinehart, Kenjiro Tsuda as Dodo Obando, Takayuki Kondo as Kiko Balentien, Naru Kawamoto as Alan Hopkins, Masaya Onosaka as Rocky Meredith and Kohei Kiyasu as Maxwell.

It’s a literal return to form for the franchise, as all eight of above starred in previous anime iterations of The Prince of Tennis as Seishun Academy starters! And here’s our first look at them in action:

Other cast members from the original 2001 series are already confirmed to return, including Junko Minagawa (Yona of the Dawn) as Ryoma Echizen, Ryotaro Okiayu (Bleach) as Kunimitsu Tezuka and Junichi Suwabe (Kuroko’s Basketball) as Keigo Atobe.

They’ll be joined on the court by Hiroki Yasumoto (Yuri!!! on ICE) as Hoo Byodoin, Mamoru Miyano (Free!) as Ryoga Echizen, Yoshimasa Hosoya (MEGALOBOX) as Kuranosuke Shiraishi, Tarusuke Shingaki (Fate/Zero) as Eishiro Kite and Sachiko Nagai as Seiichi Yukimura.

Based on the manga by Takeshi Konomi, the new series is being directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi at Studio KAI and M.C.C, who produced the Hyotei vs. Rikkai Game of Future OVAs.
