If you’re a fan of the fight-and-fright side of shounen, then we’ve got news for you! The Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku stage event at Jump Festa 2022 just revealed that the previously announced anime adaptation is being produced by MAPPA, the studio behind JUJUTSU KAISEN and the upcoming Chainsaw Man anime.
A teaser visual and trailer were also unveiled, previewing the series’ vibrant but deadly setting and characters.

Kaori Makita (Twittering Birds Never Fly: The Clouds Gather) is directing the adaptation, with Akira Kindachi (Dororo episode scriptwriter) as series composer, Akitsugu Hisagi (Banana Fish animator) as character designer and Yoshiaki Dewa (The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace) as music composer.
Based on the manga by Yuji Kaku, Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku is the tale of Gabimaru the Hollow, a ruthless ninja assassin who finds himself on death row after a cruel betrayal. To earn his freedom, he must travel to a mysterious island to recover an elixir of immortality for the shogun, where the hunters become the hunted.
