Hajime and Yue are back! We’re excited to announce that Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest Season 2 is officially coming to Funimation as part of the Winter 2022 anime season lineup!

The follow-up to this dark isekai series, which first debuted during the Fall 2019 anime season lineup, follows high-schooler Hajime Nagumo, who is bullied and underestimated by his classmates. But when they’re all sent to another world and he’s left for dead, Hajime makes it on his own, finds some powerful allies and ventures on to prove his worth.

The series joins the Winter 2022 anime season lineup from asread. (The Future Diary) and studio MOTHER (Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202), and is directed by Akira Iwanaga. It will stream on Funimation in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Peru.

Based on the light novel series from Ryo Shirakome and Takaya-ki, Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest Season 2 stars Toshinari Fukamachi (Tower of God) as Hajime and Yuki Kuwahara (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) as Yue.
