Jump Festa 2022 continues to be full of surprises! Among a slew of announcements for the current generation of anime comes a revival for the old with Rurouni Kenshin, which is getting a new TV anime project by studio LIDENFILMS (Tokyo Revengers, Blade of the Immortal).
Additional details, such as format and release date, are yet to be revealed.

The original Rurouni Kenshin anime aired for 94 episodes from 1996, followed by a collection of movies, specials and live-action films. The entire series, plus the New Kyoto Arc movies, are available in sub and English dub on Funimation.
Synopsis: Japan is a land experiencing times of troubled peace and renewal after a long and bloody civil war. Swords and killing are outlawed, but all isn’t as it would seem. Lurking in the shadows are many survivors of the revolution awaiting their chance for vengeance. Only the former government assassin, Kenshin Himura, can keep the peace.
