If you want to snuggle into a blanket and maybe have a good cry, this slice of life series could be just what you’re looking for. My Roommate is a Cat is the story of a young man learning to open his heart again after losing both his parents in an accident.
Mikazuki is a mystery author who doesn’t like people and prefers to keep only his own company. But after stray cat Haru pounces into his life, Mikazuki finds new connections and relationships he never could have expected.
The story switches from Mikazuki’s point of view to Haru’s, intertwining their tales of loss and their newfound family. Throw in Mikazuki’s delightfully persistent friends who are determined to be a part of his life and you have one of the best series for the warm fuzzies. (Get it?)

Following the misadventures of Ronaldo the Vampire Hunter and Draluc, his hapless vampire partner, this series somehow manages to be absurd and heartwarming at the same time. The two handle whatever challenges life throws at them, from naked bloodsuckers to Ronaldo’s overzealous book editor.
