Growing up in Japan and attending Hanamaki Higashi High School, Ohtani himself has said he’s a huge fan of anime and manga, especially the baseball series Major by Takuya Mitsuda.

Okazaki is a big fan of Ohtani as well, and collaborated with Sony San Diego to draw an anime-inspired version of the famed baseball player for the game’s physical SteelBook.

Takashi previously worked with PlayStation to design special autographed posters for the release of Ghost of Tsushima in 2020.
