Nearly a whole year after Extreme Hearts‘ announcement, we’ve finally received confirmation that the project is a TV anime coming in Summer 2022!
Set in the near future, the series will center on “Hyper Sports” hobby contests, which utilize “Extreme Gear” support items and are popular among children and adults alike.

Rising to the challenge is Ruriko Noguchi (BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense.) as Hiyori Hayama, Miho Okasaki (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) as Saki Kodaka and Kana YÅ«ki (Black Clover) as Sumika Maehara, pictured in the anime’s new teaser visual below.

Based on an original concept by Masaki Tsuzuki (Dog Days, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha) and character designs by Waki Izawa (The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc manga artist), Extreme Hearts is being directed by Junji Nishimura (Ranma ½) at an unannounced studio, with Issei Arakaki (VLAD LOVE) adapting the designs for animation as chief animation director alongside Kana Hashidate (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Detonation).
