Japanese vending machines have just about everything, but blood isn’t an option for vampire Nazuna Nanakusa, who makes do with a regular beverage in this new visual for upcoming supernatural romance anime Call of the Night!

An accompanying mini trailer was also released, highlighting the first interactions between Ko Yamori, played by Gen Sato (Dr. STONE), and Nazuna Nanakusa, played by Sora Amamiya (Mieruko-chan):

With plenty of vampire experience already under their belt as directors on The Case Study of Vanitas and the Monogatari series, Tetsuya Miyanishi and Tomoyuki Itamura are helming the production at studio LIDENFILMS (Tribe Nine), joined by Michiko Yokote (The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!) on series composition and Haruka Sagawa (Child of Kamiari Month) on character design.

Call of the Night is currently scheduled to air in Summer 2022.
