NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS GIVEAWAY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
Please read these rules before entering the One Piece: Stampede Premiere Straw Hat VIP Giveaway (the “Giveaway”). You agree that, by submitting an entry, you will be bound by these Official Rules and you acknowledge that you satisfy all Giveaway eligibility requirements.
Eligibility. If you are an individual legal resident of the continental United States or the District of Columbia and are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, you are eligible to enter the Giveaway. Our employees and employees of Funimation Entertainment (“Funimation”), and Funimation’s employees’ immediate family members (spouses, domestic partners, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren), and Funimation ’s affiliates, advisors or advertising/promotion agencies (and their immediate family members) are not eligible to enter the Giveaway.
Giveaway Period. The Giveaway begins at 12:00:01 a.m. (PT) on September 20th, 2019, and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. (PT) on September 26th, 2019 (the “Giveaway Period”).
How to Enter. To enter, during the Giveaway Period create a video or picture using the One Piece Snapchat filter and post publicly on social media with the hashtag #OnePieceStampede and tagging @funimation to receive one (1) entry in the Giveaway.
To be eligible we must receive all eligible entries by 11:59:59 p.m. (PT) on September 26th, 2019. Limit of one (1) entry video per person. You may not use multiple videos or accounts to enter the Giveaway, and entries submitted through multiple accounts will be disqualified.
Other Promotions. Please note that we may be running similar sweepstakes at the same time as this Giveaway. By entering this Giveaway, you will not be eligible to receive any prize awarded in any other sweepstakes unless you enter each sweepstakes separately.
Prize. We will award one (1) grand prize, consisting of a trip for the winner and one (1) guest to the One Piece: Stampede movie premiere in Los Angeles, CA on October 10, 2019 (exact dates are subject to approval by Sponsor in its sole discretion). The prize consists of:
- Round trip economy class air transportation for winner and one (1) guest departing from a major U.S. international gateway airport nearest winner’s residence (as determined by Funimation in their sole discretion and within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia) and arriving at an airport in Los Angeles, CA (the “Airport”);
- Transportation from airport to hotel upon arrival at and departure from L.A.
- One (1) night hotel room for winner and his/her guest (single room, double occupancy) October 10, 2019;
- One (1) $150 certificate for dinner at exlusive restaurant in L.A. (as determined by Funimation in their sole discretion)
- One (1) ticket for the winner and his/her guest to the movie premiere on October 10, 2019;
The total Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the grand prize is $2,000.00. Actual value of prize may vary based on factors at time of booking, including, but not limited to airfare fluctuations and distance between departure and destination. If the actual value of any prize is less than the stated ARV, we will not award the difference in cash. The prize winner and his/her guest must travel on the same itinerary. The guest must be 18 years of age or older. Prize winner and his/her guest must have and are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary identification and/or travel documents required for travel, including, but not limited to, a valid U.S. driver’s license or government issued passport and visas, as applicable.
The prize will be fulfilled by Funimation, or Funimation ’s respective prize provider agency (collectively, “Giveaway Entities”). If you are selected as the potential winner, Giveaway Entities will use the information you submit in connection with this Giveaway to fulfill the prize. Travel is scheduled to take place from October 10-11, 2019, however the actual dates of travel are subject to change and will be at the sole discretion of Giveaway Entities. If the potential prize winner is unable to participate in the prize during the dates specified by Giveaway Entities, Sponsor may select an alternative potential winner for the prize. If the prize cannot be awarded to an alternative potential winner due to the timing of when the alternative potential winner is determined, Giveaway Entities reserve the right, but are not obligated, to award a substitute prize, which may include, but is not limited to, a cash prize equivalent to the ARV of the prize (i.e., $2,000.00) as described in these Official Rules.
Giveaway Entities are not responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitutions or any act or omissions whatsoever by the air carriers, hotel, venue operators, transportation companies, prize providers or any other persons providing any prize-related services or accommodations. Lost, stolen or damaged airline tickets or vouchers will not be replaced or exchanged. All portions of prizes are subject to availability and change and are at Giveaway Entities’ sole discretion.
Winner will be responsible for paying all costs and expenses related to the prize that are not specifically mentioned herein, including but not limited to, taxes, ground transportation, food and beverages, gratuities, incidentals, souvenirs, baggage costs, telephone calls, travel insurance, upgrades, and any other expenses that might reasonably be incurred by winner in receiving or using the prize. Winner will be required to submit his/her social security number or tax payer ID number to Sponsor in order to claim the prize.
Prize Drawing. Winner selections will be held on or about Friday, September 27th, 2018. One (1) potential prize winner will be selected from among all entries received throughout the Giveaway Period. Funimation will notify the potential winner by e-mail within 3 business days following the applicable drawing, and the potential winners will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility Statement and Liability/Publicity Release. Potential winner must also sign and return any additional documentation necessary for prize fulfillment as requested by Giveaway Entities. We will select an alternative potential winner if the potential winner does not claim the prize within 72 hours of notification, or meet the eligibility criteria. The prize will be awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).
Odds of Winning. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received throughout the Giveaway Period.
Additional Terms. We may, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and in our sole discretion, change these rules or cancel the Giveaway at any time; or modify, terminate, or suspend the Giveaway should viruses, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond our control corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Giveaway or submission of entries. We are not responsible for: (a) lost, misdirected, late, incomplete, or unintelligible entries or registries or for inaccurate entry information, whether caused by you or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Giveaway, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of entries; (b) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Giveaway; (c) any error in the operation or transmission, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, or for technical, network, telephone, computer, hardware or software, malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure to receive any entry information on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website; or (d) injury or damage to your or any other computer resulting from downloading any materials in connection with the Giveaway We may, in our sole discretion, disqualify any individual found to be: (x) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway or website; (y) acting in violation of these rules; or (z) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. If your entry is incomplete or if you use robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods, your entry will be void. The authorized owner of the video used to enter the Giveaway at the actual time of entry will be deemed to be the participant and must comply with these rules in the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same video. No greater than the one (1) prize stated in these Official Rules will be awarded. If any technical errors occur in the selection of the potential prize winner or if more prizes are claimed than the one (1) prizes being awarded as provided in these Official Rules, we may award the prizes by random drawing from among all eligible claimants.
Miscellaneous. The Giveaway is governed by the laws of the United States. The Giveaway and all accompanying materials are © 2019 or licensed by Funimation Entertainment and its affiliates. All rights reserved. If you win the prize, you may not transfer, assign, or redeem the prize for cash. We may substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value. Winner agrees (for himself or herself and his or her heirs) that, by accepting the prize, Funimation, along with each of our respective affiliates and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”), will have no liability, and will be held harmless by the winner for any liability, loss, injury or damage to property or person, including death, and reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize or participation in the Giveaway, even if caused or contributed to by the negligence of any of the Released Parties. You agree that our decisions related to the Giveaway and all drawings are final. Winner agrees that, by participating in the Giveaway, we may use the winner’s name, video, image or likeness in any manner and in any medium for our promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law, and we may be required to disclose the winner’s address to state regulatory authorities.
Winner’s Name. After we confirm the winner, we will post the winner’s name at www.twitter.com/funimation
